Katsina Deputy Governor Launches 2021 Fertilizer Sales

…Restates State Government Support for Irrigation Farmers

Katsina State Government has re-assured it’s commitment to support irrigation farmers with farm inputs for increased production in the state.

The Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu gave the assurance while launching the sales of fartilizer for 2021 irrigation farming activities at Daberam irrigation site.

Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, who is also the Commissioner of Agriculture was represented by the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Agriculture, Dr. Abba Yakubu Abdullahi said the fertilizer will be sold to the farmers at the cost of four thousand naira only.

He said the state Government has provided water pumping machine and sprayers and pesticides.

The Deputy Governor called on the irrigation farmers to utilize the commodity for the purpose it was given.

Earlier the Chairman of the Irrigation Farmers of Daberam, Malam Adamu Dushi, said the government has been steadfast in provision of farming inputs to the irrigation farmers every year.

He thanks to the Government for providing the necessary materials for the irrigation farming.

In a vote of thanks the village head of Daberam applauded katsina State Government for it’s concern on development of Agriculture in the state.

Two thousand tones of fertilizer will be sold to the farmers at the irrigation sites across the state.
