Katsina State Government Reiterates Commitment Towards Actualization of its Economic Zone

Katsina State government has reiterated it’s commitment towards the actualization of state economic zone.

The State Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu stated this when he received members of the Nigeria Export processing zone authority NEPZA on a courtesy visit in his office.

The visit aimed at fast tracking the establishment of Funtua Textile and Germant Park.

Alh Mannir Yakubu observed that when completed the project will assist in addressing youth restiveness in the state and provide various job opportunities.

Earlier the Managing Director of the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Professor Adesoji Adesugba said Katsina State is among three states selected by the Federal government to establish special economic zone.

He explained that the NEPZA will soon start processes for the establishment of the Funtua germent Park.

Also speaking the state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Alh Mannir Talba said the park would play a vital role towards the improving the economy of the state.

He appreciated the effort of the Federal and state government for the establishment of the germent Park in the state. in attendance of the meeting were the Director General investment and promotion agency kipa Alh Ibrahim tukur jikanshi among others
