The leadership of the Obidient Movement has expressed deep appreciation to its members and supporters across Nigeria and the diaspora for what it described as massive mobilisation into the African Democratic Congress (ADC), urging continued grassroots participation as part of efforts to build what it calls a “better Nigeria.”
In a message of appreciation signed by Yunusa Tanko on behalf of the movement’s leadership, the organisation thanked Obidients and Nigerians for their dedication, financial contributions, and voluntary efforts that have helped expand the movement’s reach nationwide.
“On behalf of the leadership of the Obidient Movement, we sincerely thank every member of the Obidient Movement and Nigerians in general for mobilising into the African Democratic Congress,” Tanko said.
According to him, the success recorded so far was driven largely by coordinated voter education initiatives carried out by members across the country.
“The successful coordination of our voter education programme clearly demonstrates the commitment and hard work each of you has put into this cause,” he stated.
Tanko highlighted the growing level of volunteerism among supporters, noting that members from different states have been actively assisting new entrants into the movement and strengthening local structures.
“Seeing members across different states volunteering and supporting new members highlights the spirit that makes our movement strong,” he said.
He added that the contributions of supporters—both financially and through grassroots mobilisation—have significantly strengthened the movement’s capacity to organise.
“Your financial support, moral strength, and grassroots engagement show that this movement is a true force for change,” Tanko declared.
The Obidient Movement leader also acknowledged what he described as the sacrifices made by supporters, saying their commitment has created renewed optimism across communities.
“We see and deeply appreciate your sacrifices. Your devotion and unwavering efforts have inspired real hope and created momentum across communities,” he said.
Tanko emphasised that the movement regards its supporters as central to its mission for national transformation.
“Your commitment strengthens our collective resolve and brings us closer to our goal of building a better Nigeria. We see this movement as the backbone of the mission and we value your faith in a better Nigeria,” he added.
Beyond appreciation, the statement outlined a number of practical steps members are encouraged to take as the movement deepens its political engagement through the ADC.
Among the key actions listed were active participation in party congresses and ward meetings across the country.
“Attend all party congresses and ward meetings,” Tanko urged supporters, adding that members should also expand the movement’s base by inviting friends, relatives, and colleagues to join and participate in meetings.
He further encouraged grassroots mobilisation through community engagement activities.
“Take part in local outreach activities, such as door-to-door canvassing or distributing information flyers in your community,” the statement read.
Tanko also called on supporters to assist with membership drives and organisational strengthening at the grassroots level.
“Help register new members and guide them through the process of joining our structures,” he said.
The movement also emphasised the role of digital mobilisation in sustaining engagement and expanding its reach.
“Post updates and encourage participation on social media platforms and community forums,” Tanko urged.
In addition, members were advised to actively participate in the internal structures of the party at all levels.
“Organise, participate, and claim your place in the ward, local government, and state structures,” he said.
Reaffirming the movement’s long-term vision, Tanko called on supporters to remain focused and united in the pursuit of national transformation.
“Stay focused. Stay united. Stay committed. Together, we will build the Nigeria we want,” he declared.
Ending the message on a note of optimism, the Obidient leader reiterated the movement’s popular slogan that has resonated among supporters nationwide.
“Arise and shine Nigeria, for a New Nigeria is POssible,” he concluded.
