Lagos Will Enjoy More Federal Presence Under APC
Lagos State residents have been enjoined to vote en-mass for the candidate of the All Peoples Congress(APC), Akinwunmi Ambode, in the April 11 governorship election for Lagos to keep enjoying more of federal presence, which had been denied them under the out-going PDP led Federal Government.
In a door to door campaign embarked upon by the Strike Team, one of the Independent Campaign Group (ICG) for the election of the APC governorship candidate, Lagos electorate were strongly advised to vote for the APC candidate whose party had already won at the center for Lagos to keep enjoying the support of the Federal Government under the present dispensation.
Speaking during the campaign, Director-General of the Strike Team, Mr. Tunde Bank-Anthony pointed out that now that the situation had presented itself through the election of General Muhammadu Buhari(rtd) as the next President of Nigeria under APC led Federal Government, Lagosians cannot afford to throw away a golden opportunity of giving Lagos the advantage of enjoying heavy federal presence, and a special status that Lagos deserves.
Mr. Bank-Anthony also urged the Lagos electorate to vote for Akinwunmi Ambode based on a personal merit and the thrust of his campaign anchored on leadership, accountability, good governance, opportunity and service to the people as well as his vision to make Lagos a clean, secure and more prosperous state with a robust economy built on service, equity and justice.
The APC campaign Manager asked the electorate to see the APC candidate as a brand with outstanding qualities as a seasoned Administrator, Accountant and Financial Manager with a remarkable record of achievements in the civil service which speaks volume, positioning him with a wide edge over his closest opponent, the PDP candidate who is a green horn and non-starter in public administration.
He stated that Lagos should not be entrusted in the hands of a candidate who is coming to test run as he lacks idea and experience of public administration but should vote in Ambode whose administration will put Lagos on auto-cruise, as he is coming in to consolidate and keep building on what outgoing Governor Fashola had achieved in the state, stating that Lagos is still a work in progress with a development plan already in place till 2025.
He pleaded with Lagosians to reject the PDP at the polls and vote en-mass for the APC candidate in the governorship election for continuity, stability and progress.
