As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) warns up for opposition role after 16 years of dominance, the Acting National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, on behalf of the National Working Committee of the party, has congratulated Bello Haliru on his emergence as the Acting Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, in a statement said Mr. Haliru, a former Acting National Chairman and former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, is adequately equipped to serve at this level in steering the ship of the BoT in the overall quest to rebuild and reposition the party at this point in time.
The National Working Committee assured that it would work hand-in-hand with the Board of Trustees and other key stakeholders in stabilizing and re-engineering the party to restore its preeminence in the polity.
While soliciting the support of all members in this direction, the leadership also assured of its determination to instill internal democracy, strict adherence to rules, zero tolerance for indiscipline, while upholding the supremacy of the party and its constitution at all times.
