Community Loses Seven To Boko Haram, Begs Buhari To Take Action Against Terrorists
Borno State community has pleaded on President Muhammadu Buhari to act against terror as insurgent kill seven of the residents.
People of Zabarmari ward, Jere local government area of the state on Saturday made the plea, urging President Buhari to take the war to the terrorists following last Friday’s attack launched on the area by Boko Haram insurgents, which left seven residents dead and several others injured.
The residents in a letter to the Presidents, through its spokesman, Alhaji Yusuf Zabarmari, said Buhari must be proactive if he has to make any meaningful achievement in the fight against Boko Haram. They cautioned that the operation of the insurgents in the last three days was an indication that they were still very strong and as such Maiduguri was not safe.
The letter said, the terrorists were in Koshebe 7 kilometres away from Zabarmari and if the military fails to take the war to them, they may destroy all the villages around and make it on road to the state capital.
