At the national headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Throne of Grace Parish, Ebute-Meta in Lagos State, the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye held a special service for the first born in every family.

Speaking on a theme: “Destined to Excel”, Pastor Adeboye said that every first born in the family is special and precious to God because the first born belong to the Creator.

Pastor Adeboye quoted several bible passages to make his point, insisting that God expects all first born of the family to excel in all areas of their life just like Jesus Christ did.

According to him, “God will always test those who He loves, to know if truly they love Him or not. God will want to know if you will sin to keep your job. God will want to know if you will still serve Him after He has blessed you.”

During the visit, Adeboye dedicated an ultra-modern Police post donated by the national headquarters of the church to Denton Police Station in Ebute Metta, Lagos.

Addressing journalists at the end of the service, the Special Assistant to Pastor Adeboye on Personnel and Administration, Pastor Johnson Odesola also advised first borns to acknowledge and obey God’s instructions for them to fulfill their God-given destiny.

He explained that the programme was “inspired by God so that the General Overseer can pray for people” as he comes to worship in the parish every month.
