Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi has expressed deep shock, regret and sadness over the death of Dame (Dr) Mrs. Margaret Ugbomah.
Osanebi in a statement described Mrs Ugbomah’s death as a great loss to Deltans and Nigerians in general.
He said that Dame Mrs. Ugbomah  was a great technocrat, administrator, astute and disciplined academician, who engraved her footprints on the sands of time as she served her fatherland meritoriously in different capacities.
Osanebi, while condoling the Ugbomah family, the Ase people and the Delta State academic community, said that Mrs. Ugbomah’s death came at a time when her service, contributions and ideas were most needed.
“We, however, take solace in the fact that the late Icon’s sojourn on earth remains a huge blessing to humanity,” he said.
The Deputy Speaker said that the icon’s rich ideas would have come handy in the present socio economic and educational uncertainties in the country.
He prayed God to grant her immediate family, the people of the state and her associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
