A Civil Society Organization (CSO), the Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State (CSCEOS) has congratulated the former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State council and CSCEOS’ Director, Media and strategy, Bishop Seun Adeoye over his Bishopship ordination slated for Saturday 27th of February, 2016 at Sufficient Grace and Truth Ministry (SGTM), Rehoboth Arena, along Oba road,Okinni, Egbedore local government areaof the State.
The group also congratulated the Bishop Adeoye and his wife, Modupe on their 50th birthday which coincided with the ordination of Adeoye as Bishop of the Church.
According to the Press release issued in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Thursday, by the group’s Directorate of Media and Strategy and signed by its Chairman, Comrade Adeniyi Sulaiman the body urged Bishop Adeoye to see his elevation as a call to serve Lord Jesus Christ and humanity as well as fight against any form of injustice and rots in our society.
Comrade Sulaiman also called on the Man of God to allow his wealth of experience in journalism profession over the years to come to bear in his new assignment for God Almighty and humanity, describing the Adeoye elevation to Bishopship as act of God and for promotion God’s work.
According to the statement: “Today, we have gone through the memory lane to analyze the man of impeccable character as Seun Adeoye has made history with the past and present and he made history for the future generation.
“History and posterity would record his journalism service positively. At the peak of Adeoye’s career in journalism, he is a symbol of humility, epitome of hard work, courage, honesty, dedication to duty, sincerity of purpose, self-discipline and selfless service to humanity.
“We are using this medium to salute the Adeoye’s resonant voice in and
out of season in the matters of great and small and we also cherish your industry, courage, and keen sense of fairness and justice which have earned him goodwill beyond measure”.
While praying to God to give new Bishop Seun Adeoye, the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Church to the greater height and bringing Adeoye and the members of his family, the greater joy, peace and happiness here and beyond, the CSCEOS stated that Bishop Adeoye was in the shoe of revolutionary clerics like Bishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, Bishop Bolanle Gbonigi of Yoruba Unity Forum, Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu of ancient Oyo city, Bishop Mathew Kukah and host of others.
