…As Test Result Shows Enugu State COVID-19 Status

Enugu State government has officially issued an update of the test result of the of the suspect case of Coronavirus disease, otherwise known as COVID-19 in Enugu.

The Enugu State Ministry of Health in a statement signed last night on behalf of the Commissioner for Health by a Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi, informed the general public that  “the result of the investigation sent to IRUA Specialist Hospital which is further corroborated by Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)” returned “NEGATIVE”.

The inplication is that theere is no confirmed case of COVID-19 in Enugu State at the moment.

The ministry of Health therefore enjoined “the general public to go about their normal business” but were however advised “to remain alert and vigilant observing basic personal health hygiene”.

The suspected case was that of a woman who recently returned from a visit abroad, which was earlier reported by The Street Reporters Newspaper.
