Queen Elizabeth II’s Close Aide Tests Positive for Coronavirus
Buckingham Palace aide close to Queen Elizabeth II has tests positive for Coronavirus as 93 year-old Queen Elizabeth II left home to be in isolation at Windsor Castle.
The aide who remains unidentified fell ill and tested positive with COVID-19 earlier last week, before Her Majesty was moved from the palace.
“The worker tested positive before the Queen left for Windsor [Castle],” a royal insider told UK paper, The Sun.
“The Palace has 500 members of staff so, like any workplace, it’s not inconceivable it would be affected in some stage,” the source went on to say.
All Royal Household staff who may have been in contact with the infected royal aide has been ordered to go into self-isolation.
It is unknown as to just how close the worker got to the Queen while they were indeed infected by the virus.
The palace told the UK publication they could not comment “on individual members of staff.”
“In line with the appropriate guidance and our own processes, we have taken the necessary actions to protect all employees and people involved,” a palace spokeswoman said.
The Street Reporters Newspaperrecalls that Prince Charles and the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson had tested positive for Coronavirus disease.
