Kogi Youths Want Abubakar Audu’s Son, Shuaibu as Bello’s Successor

As the clock ticks towards the next governorship election in Kogi State, Kogi Youths Forum has began to woo and demanded for the emergence of son of late Prince Abubarkar Audu, Alhaji Shuaibu Audu, as Governor Yahaya Bello’s successor.

As part of their early preparation, the Forum in an enlarged meeting of delegates which cut across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State said, Alhaji Shuaibu Audu had sustained the good legacies left behind by his father.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the Coordinator, Comrade Blaise Illah, said the Youths group had painstakingly observed the activities of Alhaji Shuaibu since the demice of his father and had resolved to encourage him to explore the political settings.

According to him, the Forum is appreciative of his philanthropic gesture particularly in the provision of social amenities and humanitarian gestures

His words; “the Forum has maintained its stand to support and celebrate our illustrious son, Alhaji Shuaibu Audu, whose philanthropic gestures cut across the state. He has uncommon passion to assist the less privilege despite being a decnocrat. He dug boreholes in villages, initiate empowerment schemes for both women and Youths and many more”.

On his acceptability considering the peculiarities of the politics in the Eastern Senatorial District of the state, the Coordinator said the situation on ground favours him because of the legacy of his father which he was able to sustained.

He described Alhaji Audu as someone who had understudied the leaders qualities of his father and would be able to perform well.

Similarly, the Secretary of the Forum, Alhaji Zakari Umar said, the Forum would continue to promote individual who contributed to the advancement of humanity.
