Gombe Governor visits Nasarawa state
…Commiserates with Nasarawa Government, Lafia Emirate and Family Members over Death of Walin Lafia
Gombe state Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya earlier today paid a visit to Nasarawa state, where he commiserated with the Government and people of the state as well as Lafia Emirate over the demise of Walin Lafiya, Barrister Musa Z. Sanda who died recently.
The Governor, accompanied by the Commissioner for Special Duties, Barrister Mela Nunghe, APC stalwart, Alhaji Abubakar Muazu Yariman Kashere, Special Adviser ( Abuja) Liaison, Hon. Usman Aliyu Garry and other aides, first met with his Nasarawa state counterpart, Alhaji Abdullahi A. Sule at his country home in Gudi.
The Gombe state Governor, described the death of Barrister Musa Sanda, who was Director, Legal at the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, as a huge loss not only to the people of Nasarawa state but the nation as a whole as well as the legal profession.
The Governor also visited the palace of the Emir of Lafia, His Royal Highness, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad where he also extended his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Gombe state to the bereaved family, Lafia emirate and the entire people of the state.
Governor Yahaya said the late Walin Lafia was his close friend and confidant for over 40 years, describing his death as a personal loss.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannat Firdaus.
The Governor also visited the residence of the deceased where he consoled the family to take solace in the fact that the late Wali lived a life of service to Almighty Allah, his community, state and the nation and left behind an enduring legacy of honour and dignity.
Earlier receiving Governor at his palace, the Emir, His Royal Highness, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad who is also the Chairman of Nasarawa state traditional council appreciated the Governor for identifying with them in their moment of grief, describing the relationship between Gombe and Lafia as a long standing one.
