Gombe State Commissioner for Works and Transport Inspects Road Projects
The State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Abubakar Bappah has has inspected the ongoing road projects awarded by the State Government in Balanga, Kaltungo, Billiri and Akko Local government areas.
Speaking at the project sites, Engineer Abubakar Bappah said the inspection visit was to monitor and evaluate the level of work done to achieve the desired goal in line with standard of road construction and timely completion.
Engineer Bappah explained that the roads are among the 100 kilometres road to be constructed by the State government in each of the local government areas and assured of prompt payment to the construction firms and expressed his satisfaction with the quality work seen on ground.
In a remark, the State Commissioner for Water Resources, Alhaji Mijinyawa Yahaya who was on the entourage to Degri – Reme – Dong – Talasse road project site commended State Governor Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya for awarding the road construction that will link Balanga South and North.
In their separate response, the site project Managers handling the visited projects, said they will work relentlessly to complete the project within stipulated time.
According to a statement by MOW&T’s Information Officer, Nerus T. Dangabar, the road projects the Commissioner inspected includes:
21 KM Degri- Reme – Dong – Talasse road, 9.10 KM Bambam – Mwona – Kutare road in Balanga LGA, 15 KM Mararraba – Jabba – Sambo Daji – Pandi Kola – Garin Wada road in Akko LGA, 15 KM Bambam – Tula Yiri road in Kaltungo LGA, and 30 KM Ladongor – Amtawalam – Pobawure – Ayaba road as while as the rehabilitation of washed away culvert that link Lawiltu to Laushi Daji in Billiri LGA.
