Dangote Grant Beneficiaries Selection Committee Submits Report to Katsina Govt
Katsina State Government have received report from the Committee on selection of beneficiaries of Three Hundred and Forty Million Naira under Aliko Dangote Micro Grant Empowerment Program.
The State Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu said the planning and arrangements made by the committee for the disbursement is well commendable.
The Deputy Governor said this during a report presentation by the committee under Aliko Dangote Micro Program led by the Director General Katsina Investment Promotion Agency Alh Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi.
Alhaji Mannir Yakubu said that Dangote Micro Grant Empowerment Program has impacted possitively in to the lives of the beneficiaries who are Women.
The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that the Deputy Governor added that the benefited women that received Ten Thousand Naira each have boosted their Micro businesses at their respective areas.
Alh Mannir Yakubu urged the Director General of Katsira Investment Promotion Agency to continue monitoring the beneficiaries to ensure that the gesture has been judiciously utilized.
In his remarks, the Director General Katsina Investment Promotion Agency Alh Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi commended the committee members for their efforts to ensure success in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities.
Alh Ibrahim promised to continue monitoring the activities of the beneficiaries to ensure the gesture has been utilized.
He therefore saluted the Aliko Dangote Foundation for granting the Sum of Three Hundred and Forty Million Naira to the less privileged woman in the State under the program.
The Director General also acknowledge the efforts of Governor Masari led administration for initiating various Empowerments programme in the State aimed at improving the livelihood of the electorates.
Other Empowerment program initiated by the masari led administration include S- Power that cost the State government over Two Billion Naira annually under State Universal Basic Education Board and Two Billion Naira for MSME Fund under KASEED.
The Chairperson of the Committee for the selection of beneficiaries Hajiya Rayyanatu Lawal said the report contained all the arrangements made by the committee from the selection of beneficiaries to the disbursement.
The Permanent Secretary added that the committee recommended for the State Government to write an Appreciation Letter to Aliko Dangote Foundation for the noble gesture.
