How Culverts, Roads Constructed By Inuwa Yahaya Administration Prevent Flooding – Monarch
The Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has restated commitment to continually provide developmental projects across the nooks and crannies of the state.
He was speaking when he received a delegation from Funakaye community led by the Emir, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Kwairanga.
Addressing the delegation, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya said as soon as his administration completes the renovation and revitalization of primary healthcare centers across the 114 wards of the state, next will be general hospitals across the 11 local government areas of the state.
He said in the quest to provide quality health care service to the people, his administration has already revitalized Healthcare centres in each electoral ward of the State as well as upgraded the Specialist Hospital Gombe amongst others to standard befitting of them.
The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that that rehabilitation and reconstruction work at the General Hospital, Bajoga, will soon commence to give the health facility a face lift, according to the Governor.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya also noted that, prudent management of scare resources would remain a priority of his administration, adding that, state and Local Governments would continue to collaborate in funding key projects that will benefit the citizenry.
Earlier speaking, the Emir of Funakaye, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Kwairanga said they were at the Government House at the instance of the entire Funakaye Community to thank the Governor for coming to their aid in bringing a lasting solution to the perennial flood disaster ravagging the area through construction of standard roads and drainages, opening up of rural areas and the provision of health facilities in all the wards of the Local Government among others.
He added that entire people of Funakaye Emirate are appreciative of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya over infrastructural developments provided by his administration in the local government area.
The monarch said every rainy season people in the areas used to battle with flood and transportation challenges, but with the construction of culverts and road networks by the Inuwa led administration, the situation is now a history.
In his remarks, the State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney -General, Barrister Zubairu Muhammad Umar, who is an illustrious son of Funakaye stressed the appreciation of the people of the area over the love and concern Governor Inuwa has accorded to them through developmental projects.
The delegation comprised of the district heads of Bajoga, Ashaka, Tongo and Bage as well as Commissioners, Special Advisers and State Assembly members from the area.
