…As AIB Commences Investigations in the Helicopter Crash

Videos of rescue efforts at the scene of a helicopter crash in Opebi area of Ikeja, Lgos state have emerged, even as the Nigeria’s Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has confirmed the crash of the helicopter marked HEL-BEL 206 with three people on board, adding that investigations have commenced.

The helicopter with registration number 5N-BQW belonging to Quorum Aviation Services was said to have originated from Port Harcourt for a yet to be disclosed mission.

The identities of the three persons onboard are yet to be ascertained at press time.

However, the spokesperson of AIB, Tunji Ojetumbi told journalists that the Bureau has immediately commenced investigations to unravel the cause of the accident while all the relevant authorities were on ground with the environment cordoned off.
