Katsina State Government Restate Commitment to Promote Livestock Production

Katsina State Government has reiterated it’s determination to support and promote livestock production in the State.

The Deputy governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu stated this when he received members of Nigeria Society for Animal Scientics under the leadership of Vice Chencellor of Federal University Dutsinma Professor Arma’yau Hamisu Bichi.

The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that the team was in the Deputy Governor’s office to intimate him on the National Conference on Livestock production to be hosted by the Society in Federal University Dutsinma.

The Deputy Governor noted with delight that Katsina State was among the State that produce large livestock in the country.

He explained that the conference will not only add great value but will increase animal production in the State.

Alhaji Mannir Yakubu assured that the State Government will support the society to host a Successful conference.

Earlier the Vice Chancellor Federal University Dutsinma Professor Arma’yau Hamisu Bichi said they were at the Deputy Governor’s office to inform the government on their intention to host the National conference on livestock production by the Nigeria Society for Animal scientist.

He said the University have competed with other universities in the country but won the bid.

According to him, the conference would showcase livestock being produced in the state.
