…Describes Askia Ogie as Visionary

The Managing Director of Delta State Oil Producing Communities Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Bashorun Askia Ogie has been described as a visionary Corporate Executive and astute politician with a heart made of gold.

The commendation is contained in a goodwill message to Bashorun Ogie by the Executive Assistant on Communications to the Governor of Delta State, Dr (Barrister) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary celebration.

In the message obtained by The Street Reporters Newspaper, he noted that Askia has been a father figure to youths in the state, particularly in the oil producing communities where his commission is saddled with various infrastructure and socioeconomic empowerment projects, as well as the Isoko folks in Delta South Senatorial district.

Oghenesivbe who is a Fellow of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Studies, FCIDA, recalled his brief interface with Bashorun Ogie wherein the media and corporate technocrat gave useful advise which redefined system integration, adding that his visionary leadership at DESOPADEC will no doubt take the commission to enviable heights.

“I join Deltans to celebrate Bashorun Askia Ogie, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary celebration.

“He is a man of honour, a promise keeper, aristocratic socialite and a committed chieftain of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“He is one of the most trusted political associates of His Excellency the Governor, Senator Dr Ideanyi Arthur Okowa.

“May God continue to bless Bashorun Askia, grant him longevity and greater wisdom to consistently excel in all aspects of life endeavours, in Jesus Name,” Oghenesivbe prayed.
