The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District of Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife has condoled with the former Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Anambra State who served under ex-governor, Dr. Chris Ngige and currently an Executive Director at Authority Newspapers, Mr Chuks Akunna over the death of his beloved wife, Late Mrs Cynthia Akunna.

The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that Senator Ekwunife condoled with the family on Thursday during the burial of late Mrs Akunna held at Abagana in Njikoka local Government Area of Anambra State.

Commiserating with the family, Senator Ekwunife stated that she had to be physically present at the burial to honour her long standing friendship with the husband of the deceased and equally mourn with the family.

She noted that she has known Chuks Akunna and his late wife for many years, and could describe her death as a great loss to the family.

The Senator prayed for the peaceful repose of late Mrs Akunna and asked God to grant the family the courage to bear the painful loss.

In their reaction, a representative of Akunna family appreciated the Senator for coming to mourn with them.

He noted that her presence at the burial shows her commitment and loyalty to friendship.

He wished the Senator well in all her endeavours and prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon her.
