The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District of Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife and the entire members of her Campaign Organisation mourn the death of the Super Legislative Aide to the Senator, Dr. Chike Amobi.
Senator Ekwunife who received the sad news from the wife of the deceased, Mrs Rivien Amobi, on Friday said in a statement that she found it both “incomprehensible and terribly devastating”, retorting, “Indeed, an IROKO has fallen”.
The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that Ekwunife described Dr. Chike Amobi as “a great asset, loyal friend and committed associate”.
She extolled Chike’s commitment and passion in the discharge of his duties.
“Chike was a jolly good fellow, a generous beautiful soul, a fine lawyer, a dedicated aide and a man whose honesty and humility cuts across societal class”, the Senator added.
She further described Dr. Amobi’s demise as “a personal loss” as well as “a huge loss to her political family, Amobi family, Eziowelle community, Anambra Central Senatorial District and the Legal Profession“, as she noted that the late Aide will be sorely missed.
“Senator Ekwunife on behalf of her family and the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District extends her heartfelt sympathies to his wife, Rivien, their lovely children, his parents, Chief and Lady C. C. Amobi, his siblings and everyone who came across Chike’s infectious and pleasant personality.”
Senator Ekwunife then prayed God to grant Dr. Chike Amobi eternal rest in His Bossom and give his family, friends and everyone who is touched by his death the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
