Katsina State Reiterates Commitment to Quality Healthcare Delivery
Katsina State Government has reiterated it’s determination in improving health care delivery to achieve desired goal in the State.
The State Deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu said this during the 62 State task force meeting on polio eradication in the State.
Mannir yakubu who is also the State chairman task force on polio eradication and routine immunization said a week ago the modified intergrated medical outreach programme was implemented across the State.
He said that this has resulted in attaining 84 percent in weekly plan session. He added that it is highest recorded for this Year 2020.
Yakubu noted with delight that there was a remarkable achievement in daily routine immunization fixed session which almost 95 percent of Local Governments are doing well.
He said that arrangements have been completed for the implementation of the program come November and December 2020.
He added that the State is planning to conduct MNCHW in November this 4th quarter of the year, supplemental immunization plus days has been scheduled for 31 October to 3rd November 2020.
The Deputy Governor further explain that adequate arrangements have been put in place to achieve successful implementation in the State.
He therefore charged all relevant stake holders to continue to support polio programme and routine immunization through technical, political oversight at both State and Local Government levels.
He charged all and sundry to support in cash and in kind to prevent on resurgence of Polio and to totally stop the spread of all types of viruses and other vaccine preventable disease in communities, Local Governments and State in general.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor Katsina, Ibrahim Musa kallah in a statement noted that Mannir Yakubu appeal to good people of Katsina State to be supporting government programmes that have positive impact on to its residents.
