Only If We Purge Our Nation of Dirt And Death…
By Chukwudumebi Nkemcho Nwaokobia
A fact that…
A thousand and one Prophets, Deliverance Preachers, Apostles and Fire Brand Clergies cannot refute, contradict and or dispute.
A fact that…
A thousand and one Alfas, Imams and Great Ulamas cannot refute, contradict and or dispute.
And a fact that..
A thousand and one Mystics, Soothsayers, Marabouts, Traditional Worshippers, Clairvoyants, Clergies, Clerics and men and women of all mediums cannot refute, contradict and or dispute.
Nigeria is a nation that stinks of dirt and death. We are a nation that has sinned against man/woman and God. A space polluted a million times over. A territory sold to the vilest of forces.
A place sullied by the blood of the innocent. And until the needful is done now and quickly, our story will remain tragic and sad. Chant all the Psalms you can, Invoke, Speak in a million tongues and Pray all you can, nothing will change because you pray/ ask amiss.
There must first be repentance, there must be admission of guilt, there must be penance and there must be commitment to right the many wrongs that hold us down, save and except that is done, this circuitous rigmarole that condemns successive administrations to a score worse than those of preceding administrations will continue. Have you noticed that every new administration is full of promises, only to end up worse than the one before it?
What is wrong with Nigeria? What is wrong with God’s greatest gift to humankind? What is wrong with Africa’s Pride, and the Pride of all nations? What is wrong with this nation blessed with amazing munificence and riches ineffable? And what must we do to right the wrongs that hold us down?
From the Start this nation chose falsehood (dirt) over Truth. We elected our superficial differences, ethnicity and religion (dirt) over the oneness of humankind (Truth). Our politics was messed up by those we call ‘FOUNDING FATHERS’, men and women who won us independence without weaving for our nation a national ideology…
Our repentance must start with the repudiation of the name of convenience NIGERIA, and the adoption of a name of action. Gold Cost was thrown away by Ghana, Dahomey by Benin Republic, Tanganyika by Tanzania, Upper Volta by Burkina Faso et al. If you know, you know.
In a youthful attempt to salvage a nation whose original sin ‘the dirt of ethnicity and religion’ had opened the floodgates of death, ala the wild wild west and operation wetie, as well as ‘the dirt of ten-percenters’ corruption…
A few young military officers tore the space even deeper, they spilled blood, and the ‘dirt of ethnicity and religion’ broadened, unlocking a square (4years) of unmitigated blood letting across our land (The Pogrom in the North and the Civil War). Since then the blood of the innocents have called out to God and indeed the universe for vengeance, until we do the needful this nation will remain the land of blood.
Have you wondered why our efforts at National cohesion and unity appear distant? Have you wondered why injustice and nepotism litter this space? Have you wondered why the disappearance of the awesome wealth of the regions appear to count for nothing to successive leadership? Why do our best minds excel individually but in leadership are mediocre at best? Do you know that the dirt of ethnicity, of religion, of deceit and of delusion blinds? And do you know that even worse is the vengeance that stems from the blood of the innocent? If you know, you know.
For personal and political gain those who superintend over this nation and here I mean past and present leaders have allowed a dysfunctional structure ‘the dirt of deceit and delusion’ to push us closer to Golgotha.
They argue that restructuring means different things to different people, but in the remotest recesses of their consciences they know and agree that Nigeria must be renegotiated, reshaped, remodeled and redefined. From this sin nay the ‘dirt of deceit and delusion’ which has deepened the floodgates of death, disapproval, division, and disaffection, we must repent. And there are protocols we must follow. If you know, you know.
We are contending with conflicts and crises across the square (East, West, North and South) because the space is littered with dirt and death. If it is not Boko Haram, it is banditry, Cattle Rustling, Kidnap for Ransome, Ritual Murder, Cultism, Militancy et al. This nation must repent if we must reach our destined and ordained potentials. If you know, you know.
Since 2011 when I ran for the High Office of President at 40, I set out this programmatic in lucid terms. Like a possessed specie to whom the Green White Green means all the world, I have written about the path that we must tread if we must reach greatness. I shall not belabour my readers with all the steps that must be taken, but if those who presently run the Nigerian State want to be remembered for good, if they seek to leave a halcyon legacy we must do the needful now, before it is too late.
The ‘dirt of corruption’ is the brainchild of the ‘dirt of ethnicity/religion’ and the product of the ‘dirt of deceit and delusion’. Until we repent the concomitant malaise that stems from the dirt and the death that pervade this space shall cause a further descent down the ladder of the most terrorised and tyrannized nations in our planet. If you know, you know.
Have you wondered why a nation that should celebrate her Youths for rising up peacefully to demand for rights through the #ENDSARS Movement would unleash terror and violence against her future? Do you see the LEKKI MASSACRE as ordinary? One innocent blood spilled calls out for more in vengeance, and that is why Nigeria has become a killing field. Until the needful is done, this orgy of violence and blood letting will not abate. If you know, you know.
Our problem is beyond the APC/PDP dichotomy, it is beyond the Youth/Old divide, it is beyond the Christian/Muslim dichotomy, it is beyond our ethnic divide, and it is beyond the Buhari/Jonathan/Atiku debate… Our nation appears doomed for lack of knowledge. If you know, you know.
Compatriots, have you read about the Blood of Abel calling out for vengeance? Have you studied about the covenant of Blood? Have you wondered why there is no peace for the wicked? Do you yet wonder why Nigeria tends to always take one step forward and five backward? The answers abound, and the pathway to our redemption is clear. May our Leaders be humble enough to seek knowledge. God Bless Nigeria.
