It’s said that one thing is to make a promise, but a far different thing to fulfill it.
The Executive Chairman, Udi LGA of Enugu State, Hon. Ifeanyi Pascal Agu, in keeping with his promise to leave good legacy has began to walk on the sands of accomplishment as the council yesterday certified over 50 youths who have successfully undergone a two-week Udi Local Government Free Solar and Inverter Installation Training.
In line with his good leadership policy of revamping Udi into a Smart City of work and fun, the council boss has successfully taught these youths how to fish by giving them their first opportunities to fish through skill acquisition trainings.
Besides empowering the youths with a solar Installation skills, which will be mounted at the council at the earliest time possible, Hon. Agu hopes that the new skill, alongside many others to be learnt, will go a long way to position the youths of Udi Local Government Area in the society.
The Special Adviser to Udi council Chairman on Youth Development And Empowerment, Comrade Emmanuel Madukaihe Onwuegbu, in a statement noted that the trainees who were present during the certification expressed their joy for being beneficiaries of “such great opportunity given them for the very first time.”
