Governors Inuwa Yahaya, Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar Witness Multiple Weddings in Gombe
The Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, along side his Jigawa state counterpart, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar were among dignitaries who attended a number of weddings at the Bubayero Central Mosque, Emir’s Palace and Masjidut Taqwah, GRA Gombe on Saturday.
At the Bubayero Central Mosque, Governor Yahaya stood in as Wakil( Representative) in the wedding fatiha between his younger brother, Sirajo Yahaya and Fatima Idris Umar, that of his cousin, Usamat Ibrahim, who married Aishatu Ali Boderi, daughter of Provost of the Federal College of Education ( Technical) FCE (T) Gombe, Dr. Ali Boderi as well as the one between Mohammed Mahmud Bappari and Rukayyatu Dahiru.
He also served as Waliy for Saliha Ibrahim Yahaya and gave her hand in marriage to Yakubu Yarima Abdullahi through his Wakil, Alhaji Mustapha Yarima Abdullahi.
The Governor also witnessed about seventy other solemnization of marriages held at the central mosque which included that of the daughter of the Deputy State Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Ado Gabanni and those of the daughters of late APC chieftain, Alhaji Adamu Yaro Gombe, Alhaji Isa Jalo Waziri as well as that of Alhaji Kawu Dan Maliki’s son among others.
Governor Yahaya alongside his Jigawa state counterpart, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar had earlier witnessed the wedding of A’ishatu and Zainab, daughters of renowned business man, Alhaji Muhammad Alhajiyel at the masjidut Taqwa GRA Gombe.
The Jigawa state Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar served as waliy for the brides ( A’ishatu and Zainab) and gave out their hands in marriage to Muhammad Sani Annuri and Saddam Yarima Bello Kumo respectively in line with the Islamic injunction.
Dignitaries on the Governor’s entourage included the Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammed Abubakar luggerowo, Chief of Staff of Government House, Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Head of Service, Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya, Commissioners, Special Advisers, PPS, APC chieftains, Alhaji Abubakar Mu’azu ( Yariman Kashere), Alhaji Buba Sharu and other senior government officials.
