A handful of Imo State’s ‘3R’ Ambassadors were invited to a new year conference at the residence of Hon. Ebere Macdonald, Special Adviser to the Governor and General Manager of ENTRACO at the weekend.

After a year that has tested citizens in unimaginable ways, not only in Imo State but countrywide and globally; a year which harshly showcased how people from all walks of life were grounded; businesses, schools, churches, markets, mosques, flights and many other usual facilities were also brought to their knees at some point.

Still in Imo State, people  stepped up to create change to adjust to the new expectations of life.

The CoronaVirus pandemic also fuelled an unprecedented economic crisis, leaving over 100,000 citizens succumbing to it, in one way or the other.

This situation was exacerbated by the #EndSars social unrest where again lives and livelihoods were sadly lost!

With all these in mind, the Special Adviser to the Governor on ENTRACO felt the necessity to call some key 3R Appointees for a new year conference.

Our correspondent gathered that Hon. MacDonald used the opportunity last Saturday night to reflect on a rather difficult year globally but beckoned on fellow appointees to have ‘unity and solidarity’ as their watchword in 2021.

“We all have to work together, to ensure the 3R Government is felt by all Imolites” he stated.

“We cannot afford to watch any of us fail, because when one of us fails, all of us have failed. And if we do well, we have all done well”, he added.

Hon. MacDonald, further stated that his Principal, Senator Hope Uzodimma has accorded “us all this platform and it will be only gracious for each of us to use our various platforms judiciously”.

The Conference ended approximately 9.30pm local time on Saturday.

Those who attended the event include: Barr.
