How Okene Reference Hospital Will Reduce Medical Tourism When Completed – Engr Ohere, Kogi Commissioner

The Ongoing Construction of an Ultramodern Okene Reference Hospital embarked upon by the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State at Okene the headquarters of Kogi central senatorial district has been adjudged to be the future hub of medical care for the people of the north central region of Nigeria when completed.

The Honourable Commissioner Of Works and Housing Engineer Abubakar Ohere said that the hospital is designed to serve the whole of the north central States with the Best health and medical facilities thereby discouraging medical tourism from the region.

Engineer Ohere stated this during his official inspection visit to the hospital as well as other ongoing State government roads projects at Okene local government area of the state.

While aplouding Governor Yahaya Bello for conceiving and executing the project for the people of the state, Engineer Ohere said projects are being carried out by the Government based on the needs of the people in keeping with the Government policy of providing the needed dividence of democracy to the people.

The Works and Housing Commissioner further disclosed that Works is ongoing on 15 other Roads in the area and they are at different stages of completions by the State Government.

He expressed satisfaction with the relating that if contractors contractors could work in accordance with a work-plan like this, Government would be eager to give more jobs out.
