Katsina State Government has concluded plans to compile Data of victims of banditry, cattle rustling and insurgency with the aim of giving them all desired support and assistance.
Katsina State Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, who made this known, is also the Chairman Executive Council Committee on the improvement of welfare of orphans and widows of victims of Banditry, cattle rustling and insurgency in eleven affected local government areas in the State.
He spoke at a meeting held at the Deputy Governor chamber where the committee review the progress so far made by it.
Alhaji Mannir Yakubu said enumerators have been engaged to compile data of the victims for easy access.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Head of press-sub-committee, Malam Abdulrahman Abdullahi representing civil society organization in the committee, said already the committee has visited the affected local government areas to assess the situation.
