Gombe state Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed grief over the demise of former Minister of Women Affairs and SocialDevelopment, Senator Aisha Jummai Al-hassan who died Friday in Cairo Egypt at the age of 61.

In a message of condolence, Governor Yahaya described the late Aisha Al-hassan, fondly called ‘Mama Taraba’ as a big loss not only to her home state, Taraba but to the north east and the nation in general.

He said “In Aisha Al-hassan, the nation has lost one of its best and most courageous women in politics and governance. She had demonstrated uncommon doggedness, tenacity and a ‘can do’ spirit in the pursuit of her dreams which earned her national and international recognition and commendation”.

Governor Yahaya, conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased ex-senator and her associates as well as the government and people of Tababa state over the great loss, praying Almighty Allah to grant her Aljannat Firdaus.
