The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) has declared Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of 32 out of 33 councils in the local government election held in Oyo state on Saturday.
Declaring the results, OYSIEC chairman, Mr. Isiaka Olagunju (SAN) said the commission had ensured transparency and adequate security during the election.
He appreciated the media and security agencies in the state for their support in ensuring a free, fair and transparent election.
However, only IDO local government election was suspended and rescheduled for Wednesday, May 26.
The OYSIEC chairman explained that the Ido local government election was suspended following the omission of the logo of the Zenith Labour Party on the ballot papers for the area.
