Katsina State MSMEs To Receive A Boost as Deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu Hosts SON Delegation

Katsina State Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu has received a delegation from the Standard Organization of Nigeria on a courtesy visit.

The visit was part of the Organization’s commitment to collaborate with Katsina State Government to raise the Standard of public and private sectors in the state.

Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu said the collaboration will also improve the Micro, small and Medium enterprises activities in the state.

Mannir Yakubu maintained that the public sectors to be certified by the standards organization include some ministries, Departments, Agencies and Deputy Governor’s office among others.

He therefore assured of the state government’s commitment to continue collaborating with the Standards organization of Nigeria to standardize all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Dr. Justine Nickaf said the visit was part of the Organization’s commitment to commence preparation for the certification.

Dr. Justine maintained that the effort will ensure that the human capacity in the state meet the global standards.

The Director General, Katsina State Investment Promotion Agency Alhaji Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi shade more light on the collaboration between the Katsina State Government and the Standards Organization of Nigeria.

Alhaji Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi added that the State Government had already provided a piece of land to the Standards Organization of Nigeria to build a corporate office and laboratory for the certification of product in the State.
