The Global Director General of the Nigeria Youth Headquarters NYCSRF, Amb. Vincent Anthony Ubani who disclosed this in a notice of meeting circulated on social media groups on Wednesday, called for peace and stability in the most populous black country in the world.

He noted that himself, alongside the President National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Amb. Solomon Adodo “are both concern” on how the youths in the country “can be in control” of the nation’s stability.

Amb. Ubani in the notice personally signed by himself, said, “We wish to inform all youths and students stakeholders in Nigeria, most importantly in FCT Abuja, that we have resolved to maintain peace and apply wisdom to salvage the situation in our country Nigeria”.

He noted that in all the crises in the country, “the same targeted age are victims of the brutality, killings, oppression, and frustration, due to lack employment or empowerment, and no Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) welfarism for our over 200 million Nigeria poor masses, which with current economical meltdown created by the COVID-19”, which, he said, is raising more tension as millions are “struggling to survive the after effects of the COVID-19 attack on the world.”

To this end, Amb. Ubani, who called for a meeting of the young stakeholders, noted that the Nigerian youths had resolved to “join the African Democratic Congress ADC as the one approved and adopted party system of the youth to call for a 3-day Nationwide Peace and Unity fasting and prayer”, flagging-off “on Thursday, 10th June, 2021 and rounding off” with “prayer thanksgiving on Sunday, as we seek for peace and stability in Nigeria.”

Amb. Ubani disclosed that the “Fasting and Prayer for Nigeria will flag-off on Thursday at the 10am… as we use this avenue to invite all critical stakeholders in Abuja to attend (the fasting and prayers) at ADC Global Campus, 4 Lusaka Street, Wuse Zone 6, FCT, Abuja, as we jointly invite you all.”

On planned protests in the country, Amb. Ubani called on all youths to remain calm and “seat at home on the 12 June, 2021”, insisting that the youths have condemned “any form of agitation and protest arrangements” for that date.

He maintained that the youths should not endanger their “lives the more considering the fact that the nation is facing security challenges”.

He added, “this is one of the major reasons why we don’t need to be on the streets to give room for the bad eggs to seize the opportunities to want to hijack any peaceful gathering to create more damages which should be the last thing any one of us should pray for at this critical stage.”
