Katsina State Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu has enjoin Muslims to commit themselves to prayers during and after Eid-El-Kabir celebration to bring the end of the current insecurity in the State.
The deputy governor made the call shortly after the Eid-El-Kabir prayer on Tuesday in Katsina.
Yakubu noted that prayer is a shield to everyone against any evil in the state, adding that there is the need for Muslims in the state and the country in general to intensify.
He further said the present security situation in the country, especially in the North, requires continued prayers for divine intervention to get the country out of the situation.
Yakubu further explained that the state and the Federal Government are doing their best to improve the lot of the citizens, therefore need their support in all angles.
He used the opportunity to extend his felicitations on eid-el Kabir celebration to the entire Muslims in the state and the country in general.
The deputy governor also advised Muslims to celebrate the festival according to the teaching of Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon Him, by ensuring peace and unity among them.
