Senator Ekwunife Hails Emergence of Hon. Uju Clara Egbuji As Ohanaeze Ndigbo Anambra State Woman Leader

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, has congratulated Hon. Mrs. Uju Clara Egbuji on her emergence as the woman leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Anambra state chapter.

Hon. Egbuji, who is a native of Onitsha, Anambra and a retired headmistress emerged following a peaceful election which was conducted on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Ohanaeze Ndigbo Secretariat in Awka.

In her congratulatory message, Ekwunife expressed optimism that the tenure will be productive, describing Hon. Egbuji as a seasoned administrator whose pedigree, goodwill and wealth of experience will aid to advance the cause of the Igbo nation.

While reiterating confidence that the newly elected woman leader is well experienced with deep-rooted professionalism, the Senator noted that Egbuji’s victory is timely and a welcome development. Ekwunife promised to continue to support Ohaneze Ndigbo at all levels, stressing that the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation remained a unifier of Ndigbo.

The Senate Chairman on Science and Technology however on behalf of her family and her constituents at Anambra Central Senatorial District wished Hon. Egbuji well in her office, while encouraging her to sustain the culture of Ndigbo and leave behind enduring legacies.
