APC Support Group For Andy Uba In Interactive Session With Hon Linda Ikpeazụ
Ahead of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra state, the APC Support Group for Andy Ubah, Onitsha North, has set up a harmonisation committee to bring all factions and support groups together for the success of the party’s aspiration.
Addressing members of the group in Onitsha, the member representing Onitsha federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Linda Ikpeazụ urged all the support groups to eschew divisive tendencies, adding that they should rather close ranks and work with unity of purpose towards ensuring the emergence of Senator Andy Ubah as the next governor of Anambra state.
Hon Linda Ikpeazụ tasked the groups to redouble efforts at canvassing, convincing and mobilising the electorate at the grassroots level, regardless of the gale of defections into the party by frontline political heavyweights.
She stated that APC government at the state would benefit the members immensely through life-enriching empowerment packages and programmes. She also stressed the need to counter negative propagandas.
Also speaking, a member of the APC national campaign committee for Anambra election and two-time House of Representatives, Hon Gozie Agbakoba stated the time has come for APC to take over governance in Anambra state, stressing that the emergence of senator Andy Ubah would enhance Igbo presidency aspiration.
In his speech, the 2017 Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) governorship candidate Comrade Akunwata Ejoh Ojiba, disclosed that in line with the need for harmonisation of all APC support groups to achieve a common goal, arrangements are being made for a harmonisation workshop as soon as possible.
Comrade Ojiba who is the South East zonal coordinator of the APC Ward-To-Ward Ambassadors (WWA), further disclosed that the organisation has already conducted ward tours to 12 out of the 15 wards in Onitsha North Local Government Area.
Contributing also, a former state House of Assembly candidate, Hon Jude Oniah reiterated the need to imbibe the family-to-family and street-to-street campaign strategies for the forthcoming elections.
