As political foot soldiers the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues to drum clamour for his declaration of interest to contest in the 2023 presidential election, Tinubu has been received in audience by President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Villa.
He was received when Tinubu on Sunday paid President Buhari a visit in Abuja.
Buhari and Tinubu could be seen in elbow greeting and in a chatting mood in the couch at the Presidential Villa.
In a brief statement by Tinubu, he noted that he was in the Aso Rock Villa to appreciate the president for paying him a visit while he was in London hospital.
“I came to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for visiting me in London when I had a knee surgery. He demonstrated empathy. He is an exceptional leader,” he said.
This is coming weeks after the former Lagos state governor returned from the United Kingdom and had just met with the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
Both men, who were locked in a warm embrace in one of the pictures that went viral, met amid speculations that both had 2023 presidential ambition.
