2023: Tinubu Declaration Kicks Off Serious Mobilisation for Yoruba Presidential Ticket – AWA Bamiji
The President General of the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths, Comrade AWA Bamiji, has said that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s formal declaration of his intention to contest the 2023 Presidency has kicked off serious mobilisation for Yoruba Presidential Ticket.
Comrade Bamiji in a statement on Tuesday explained that, “Being aware of gentleman agreement that exists in our political system regarding rotational Presidency and the need to geniunely appreciate the bloc votes which President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, got in both 2015 and 2019 from the Southwest, we embarked on advocacy, “2023 is Yoruba Turn: Non-Negotiable”, since 2019.
“Then, it looked like a play to many people and to some others, it’s unachievable but we believed in God, ability to defend this noble cause intellectually and our numerical strength as Youths across Nigeria”, he noted.
The rest of the statement reads:
The Nigerian Political Observers and in deed, general public are very supportive, behind the scene and the 53 Odu’a National Awardees that we honoured in the last 3 months to celebrate Yoruba National Day, Yoruba Youths @ 20 and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu @ 69, have majorly contributed to our chain of successes as a formidable Yoruba Youths’ Group in the last two decades and our action is nothing but open appreciation of this unflinching support.
Our position remains sancrosant, 2023 is the turn of Yoruba Presidency especially in the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) and now that our geniune effort has recorded first monumental success with open declaration of the National Leader of All Progressives’ Congress (APC), who doubles as Yoruba Political Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Today, in the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, we will be glad to see other competent Aspirants from Yorubaland coming out, after which the APC Southwest presents its joker for the epic battle.
It’s one thing to get the ticket, it’s another thing to win the election by being able and skillful in your approach.
With this brief analysis, we implore the general Public to stay turned to watch as the real mobilisation towards the 2023 Yoruba Presidency has just begun Today, Monday. 10th January, 2022.
