Ronaldo Posts A Defiant Message To Fans

Spread the love

Cristiano Ronaldo posted a defiant message to Manchester United supporters after scoring his stunning goal in the morale-boosting 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday.

The Portuguese no.7 pounced onto a loose ball from a well-timed Scott McTominay tackle and he quickly drove towards goal, cutting inside between two Seagulls defenders before dispatching an unerring finish into the back of the net.

It was Ronaldo’s first goal of 2022 and his celebration in front of our fans showed how much the moment meant to him.

His delight was also clear to see in added time, too, when his compatriot Bruno Fernandes scored our second to clinch an important top-flight victory over Brighton.

The result moved United back into fourth place and has provided everybody with a timely boost following a run of three frustrating 1-1 draws across all competitions, with the earliest of those resulting in a penalty shootout defeat to Middlesbrough in the Emirates FA Cup fourth round.

Ronaldo now has 15 goals from 27 United appearances this season and, while he is comfortably our top scorer, the club legend sets high standards and will want many, many more this campaign.

As our most experienced player and one of several leaders in the dressing room, Cristiano is adamant that we can still achieve success in the Premier League and Champions League this term.

“Back on track!” posted Ronaldo on Tuesday.

“Nobody gives up and there’s only one way to get back on track: hard work, team work, serious work.

“Everything else is just noise. Let’s go Devils!”

CR7 is now looking forward to a couple of high-profile away fixtures, against Leeds United at Elland Road and Atletico Madrid in Spain.
