By Jideofo 2023 Presidential Campaign

Jideofo 2023 is a challenge of patriotism and nationalism not only of the aspirant himself, but also of all Nigerians who have desired justice, security, peace, unity and prosperity of Nigeria and all Nigerians.

For over two years as Convener/National Coordinator of South-East APC Presidency Project 2023, before I had to declare on 1st February 2022 to contest for President of Nigeria in 2023, I repeatedly said that our presidential campaign would be collective, meaning that all members of our campaign organisation would share in the responsibilities and successes of our presidential bid.

It is not enough to say that we want a credible presidential material who happens to be of South-East extraction, expect benefits to ourselves during the campaign and from the Federal Government after we hope to have formed it, yet shy away from responsibilities of our campaign.

One of those responsibilities is making oneself available for the tasks of the campaign. For example, we are now welcoming intellectual and professional Nigerians of reasonable integrity to serve in the engine room of our presidential campaign: “The Shadow Cabinet”.

We want suitable Nigerians to volunteer to serve in this “Shadow Cabinet” of 111 men, women and youths – one person from each of the 109 senatorial zones plus the Presidential Aspirant (Chinedu Jideofo-Ogbuagu) as Chairman and the Deputy Chairman who will come from Northern part of Nigeria.

It is from our “Shadow Cabinet” that our DG, Deputy DG, Secretary General, Directors, Zonal and State Coordinators, headship of our campaign committees and subcommittees will be appointed.

It is also from our “Shadow Cabinet” that the first Cabinet members of our Government will be appointed.

Another of those responsibilities is funding. My presidential aspiration is not that of one who has “bullion van” or “pocket” or bank account that is heavier than the Nigerian treasury. Far from it.

No one man or woman is needed to bankroll Jideofo 2023 but every Nigerian who has yearned for a truly great country in our lifetime, should donate money and other things to our campaign. Every donation will be acknowledged and appreciated formally.

With money, committed campaign personnel and supporters who should willingly give before they receive, we will deliver on our promise of best 2023 presidential campaign, which we expect to lead us to our forming a Government that will do Nigerians proud.
