BREAKING: ALGON National President Hon. Kolade David Alabi Takes Message Of Local Governments In Nigeria To National Primary Healthcare Summit 2022 In Abuja
Determined to identify and support all efforts towards fixing the Nigeria’s Healthcare challenges and reversing it’s ugly trend, the National President of the association of Local Governments of Nigeria ALGON), Hon. Kolade David Alabi has joined high-powered delegations and dignitaries to the ongoing Summit holding at the International Conference Center Abuja.
The Summit seek to deploy brain power to accelerate progress towards improving the deficit in the Health Care system in Nigeria by revatalizing the Health sector.
This is in line with the overall objectives and strategies of the Alma-Ata declaration which was adopted at the International Conference on Primary Health Care (PHC), in Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic in the (present day Kazakhstan)which was held on 6–12 September 1978.
The Summit is presently putting together all the needed action by both governments, corporate bodies, political class, Traditional Rulers, Mother’s, and all health and development workers, with a view to protecting and promoting the health of all the Nigeria populace.
Leveraging on event also, the National Primary Health care Development Agency with critical stakeholders like ALGON and others are maximizing the opportunity to provide a partway to strengthen the healthcare system in all the rural areas.
In attendance are the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Governor of Ekiti State
and the Chairman Nigeria Governors’ Forum, John Kayode Fayemi, Governor Bagudu Chairman APC progressive
Hon Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Emmanuel Ehanire, Minister of Finance, Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed and numerous Senators, including the Chairman Senate Committee on Primary Healthcare, Senator Chukwuka Utazi, several Permanent Secretaries, Commissioners of Health in several States, Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Saa’ad Abubakar and several Emirs, Igwes, Amaynabos, Olus, High Chiefs, and other institutional partners, including Aliko Dangote Foundation, A. I. G Imokuede, Tony Elumelu Foundation, among others.
