Ramadan: Another Opportunity To Seek Allah’s Face For Greater Good Of Nigeria, Mankind – ALGON National President Kolade David Alabi
ā¦ Says Remarkable Coincidence of Fasting by Both Christians and Muslims Have Reaffirmed Again Oneness of Man Before God, Hence Need for Unity of Purpose at All Time
The National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon Kolade David Alabi has called on Muslims all over the country to imbibe the virtues enunciated by Prophet Mohammed during the occasion of this yearās Ramadan, which is a holy month of Fasting.
According to him, in his message to Nigerians, he noted that it was a remarkable coincidence of fasting by both Christians and Muslims, which have once again reaffirmed the oneness of man before God, hence the need for unity of purpose among the both religion at all time.
He said that the one month period of fasting comes with fresh moments of re-examination of ways of life and prayers and needs to be cascaded down to the entire nooks and crannies where Muslim faithfuls reside and even live together with the Christians.
Such dual sacrifice by both faith has ways of bringing blessings to both man and country.
He noted that Nigeria is a great country with shared diversity and passion to issues concerning God which he specifically referenced by distilling the acts of true worship in which the Five Pillars of Islam and its essential fundamental matter to the lives of Muslims must always be brought to bear in the period under review.
He said, āI urged the Muslim faithfuls to adhere to the rules of Ramadan by fasting, mortification, abstinence from all other unkind or impure attributes classified as immoral behaviour.
āThank God this year’s Ramadan has coincided again with Lenten season that’s is already on course by the Christians.
āI am optimistic that both will prevail the blessings and favour of Godā, Hon. Kolade David Alabi affirmed.
