2023: Group Adopts Hon. Leke Abejide As Sole Candidate For Yagba Federal Constituency
In line with a resolution reached at a meeting of the state Executive council and Local Government Chairman from Western Senatorial, Kogi State held on the 20th April, 2022, a pro-youth group, the Advocacy for Youth Leadership In Governance, Kogi State of Nigeria, has unanimously adopted Hon. Leke Abejide as its preffered candidate for Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopa-muro Federal Constituency in 2023.
The decision of the group was disclosed by the group’s President, Mr. Abiodun Emmanuel, in a chat with our correspondent on Monday.
He said that the adoption of Hon. Leke Abejide was necessitated by his laudable and unprecedented youth and women empowerment gestures at his Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopa-muro Federal Constituency.
They specifically noted the active legislative role of Hon. Abejide at the House of Representatives and for evidently liberating his people from the “shackles of poverty, through sophisticated construction of classic roads, laying of Okun Unity House, Annual Prompt Payment of WAEC/NECO fees, cash and direct empowerment to mention but few”, the group said.
The youth leaders disclosed that the group has set in motion working machineries and have genuinely resolved to work tirelessly towards ensuring his victory come 2023 general elections.
