Eid-el-Fitr Message: Why You Must Resist Vote Buyers, Imbibe Spirit of Fasting During 2023 Polls, MBM to Constituents
An aspirant seeking to represent the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Mallam Bello Muhammed, who is popularly known as MBM, has called on Nigerians to resist voting buyers and “imbibe the spirit of fasting during the electioneering period so that you will rejoice, celebrate and feast in the next four years.”
The Eid-el-Fitr message was contained in a statement signed by his personal assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Hafeeza.
MBM said, “It is with blossom prospects I send you this historical seasons greetings.
“Our hope is that The Lord of the Worlds answers our prayers, wipes our tears and opens our hearts to see the truth, enabling us to embrace it in the light and blessings of the just concluded holy month of Ramadan.
“I say this to you, oh people of Kogi Central Senatorial District. It is no longer news that we are indeed facing trying and challenging times.
“Our Creator having surely answered our prayers will not come down to rescue us from the hands of our oppressors. We must take on this responsibility ourselves”, MBM said.
Speaking on the 2023 general elections, Mallam Bello Muhammed noted that “Another opportunity to do this is in front of us come 2023.
“They will come to you and attempt to buy your votes with money which they have poached from you to embark on their seasonal, deceptive empowerments.
“I urge you to imbibe the spirit of fasting during the electioneering period so that you will rejoice, celebrate and feast in the next four years.
“A word, they say, is enough for the wise.
“Wishing you a happy EID UL FITR.
“May Allah accept our devotion. Amin”, MBM prayed.
