Delta Pioneer Speaker, Okoro to Bury Mother June 18

The burial ceremony of late Sister Angelina (Jerina) Okoro, mother of the Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural and Community Development, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, PhD, has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

According to the statement released by Comrade Oku Victory, the Special Assistant on Media to the first son of the deceased, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, PhD, there would be no Service of Songs.

The statement added that on Saturday June 18, 2022 by 8:00am prompt, the corpse would leave General Hospital Mortuary Oleh in Isoko South LGA, for Lying-in-State and Reading of Tributes/Funeral Oration at the Ofagbe Technical College field, which will be anchored by the God’s Kingdom Society (GKS), the Church of the Living God.

Thereafter, the body of Late Sister Angelina Okoro would proceed to her husband’s residence at No. 26A Uruonwa street, for Interment, and the reception/entertainment of guests would follow immediately at the Ofagbe Technical College field, Ofagbe.

Comrade Oku Victory further stated that the burial events will climax on Sunday, June 19, 2022 with a Memorial/Special Thanksgiving service at the God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) Service Hall, Ofagbe Branch, in Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State.

Family, colleagues, political associates, friends, party leaders and stakeholders are hereby invited to take note of the dates as they pay their last respect to late Sister Angelina (Jerina) Okoro who died at the age of 83 years.
