Benue Speaker, Hon. Titus Uba, Saddened By Incessant Attacks On Benue Communities
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Benue State and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Titus Uba expresses displeasure over the activities of armed bandits in Benue State, particularly the recent attack on Igama, Agamudu and Efeche communities of Edumoga, Okpokwu Local Government Area.
Engr. Uba regretted that from sporadic incidents, armed bandits have continued to launch systematic attacks on individuals and communities in the State, noting that there’s no more effective solution than forceful inland and frontier policing which requires a tactical synergy between grassroot vigilantes and the State security operatives.
He promises to continue to support any lawful move by governor Samuel Ortom in permanently ending the senseless killings of innocent people in the State.
The Guber candidate condoles with the families of victims of the barbaric attacks and calls on the Federal Government to direct the Inspector General of Police and other heads of security agencies to as matter of urgency mount a comprehensive surveillance at the affected areas to prevent further attacks and also carry out a full-scale investigation of the heinous attack with a view to arresting the perpetrators.
