Tinubu Campaign Organisation Felicitates New Acting CJN Arowoola

Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation has felicitated with the new Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on his appointment, describing him as the new hope of a collapsed judiciary.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Presidential Campaign Project to the Director – General (and former Minister of Communications, (Barrister Adebayo Shittu), Comrade AWA Bamiji, the compaign body said that it is no longer news that the system in Nigeria for a long period of time, across board, encourages stealing, embezzlement.

“We were totally in grief after reading the news of protest by the Supreme Court Justices over poor welfare and alledged diversion of funds at the Apex Court in Nigeria in the Nigerian dailies but on Sunday’s evening, the news filtered in about resignation of Justice Tanko Muhammed, the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, who had been accused last week by Fourteen Justices of the Supreme Court of abandoning his responsibility at the Apex Court.

“It is no longer news that the system in Nigeria for a long period of time, across board, encourages stealing, embezzlement and it took a drastic turn when we started hearing about the alledged bribery and corruption among the Judges or Justices in Nigeria but the long period of abandonment of his duty or chronic sickness as the case may be would had in no small measure contributed to the alledged rot at the Apex Court, which is not only the last hope of a common man, but the last stage of electoral process when it comes to Gubernatorial or Presidential Election cases in Nigeria.

“Based on the track record, we congratulate the newly appointed Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, 63, as Alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU, Ile – Ife), pride of legal proffesion, illustrious Son of Iseyin in Oke – Ogun Axis of Oyo State, Omoluabi of Yorubaland and Patriotic Citizen of Nigeria. Your appointmet came at most challenging period in the history of Judiciary but we pray for God’s guidance and protection as you take on the Mantle of leadership in this Third arm of Government in Nigeria”, the statement concluded.
