2023: NIPSS To Engage Presidential And Governorship Candidates, Calls For Partnership
Ahead of Nigeria’s forthcoming 2023 general elections, the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) has announced its readiness to engage all Presidential and Gubernatorial Candidates in the country.
The body noted that the development was in line with its resolve “to deepen democracy by promoting participation and inclusivity in decision making on governance.”
In a statement published on its website, the institute noted that it has opened its platform to all the candidates “to come and engage with our team of experts on their Plan of Action.”
The Institute further disclosed that “This will particularly present an opportunity for them to explain their policy thrust to Nigerians. It will also help in guiding the electorates to take informed decisions at the polls.
“We are also calling on all interested and genuine national and international partners to collaborate with us on this very important service to Nigeria”.
NIPSS urged members of the public to contact the Head of Public Affairs Department of the institute further inquiry.
Meanwhile, the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) was conceived as a high-level institution with the primary objectives of serving as the Nigeria’s foremost policy think-tank to develop a crop of top-class technocrats of high intellectual capacity, who will conceptualize and anchor the implementation of innovative and dynamic policy initiatives and strategies, critical for national development.
