Etsako West Constituency 11: Iyalomhe Welcomes Supreme Court Judgement, Calls For Unity Against Common Enemy
Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), seeking to represent the people of Etsako West Constituency 11, into Edo State House of Assembly in the forthcoming general election, Dr Felix Iyalomhe (DFI), has welcomed the judgement of the Supreme court delivered delivered today February 1, 2023, and called it a sweet victory for democracy and for all party faithfuls.
Dr Felix Iyalomhe who has chosen to play people-inclined politics, called for calm and unity in the party, even as the judgement swayed off some factional members.
He went further to say that the party is big enough to accommodate even the opposition, talk more of the founding fathers and party faithfuls who have laboured day and night to see the party survives after loosing the presidency in 2015.
In his words, he said, “Today, with God on our side, it was not just a victory at the Supreme Court but a victory for the soul and survival of the party”.
He went ahead to appeal to some party faithfuls who felt that they’ve been left behind and aggrieved for certain reasons and power tussle for a while now to join hands with the party to form a formidable force to defeat the common enemy that has brought untold hardship to the people of Nigeria.
He also called on the State Party Chairman to, as a matter of urgency, sue for unity and call on all stakeholders in both camps of the party to a roundtable alliance to strategize and unify the party for the purpose of winning the forthcoming general election, which is few weeks away.
He eulogised the party leadership, saying that the chairman’s desire for manifestation is vividly clear, effective and articulate as he has always stood against injustice and maladministration.
He then urged all party faithfuls to remain confident of victory, as bad state of the country has dampened upon by the ruling party, “we can take advantage of the ineffectiveness and purposeless leadership of the ruling party to unite and form a strong base to clinching all the seats in the state and the country at large.
“We, the people of Etsako West Constituency 11, will not relent in rendering qualitative support until victory is ours at the general elections”, he concluded.
