Prophet Omoto Fufeyin Tight-lipped After Explosion Rocked His Church Auditorium
Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of the Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry AKA Mercy City has refused to comment after explosion rocked an auditorium in the popular church along the Warri-Sapele road, Delta State on Tuesday.
The explosion triggered a major inferno in the building.
A top staff of the church who spoke on the development said the fire started suddenly, adding that the first person who saw it said he heard a major explosion and what followed next was a huge ball of fire.
However, the founder and Senior Prophet of the church, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin aka Papa J, turned down request to comment on the incident, preferring the church secretary, who was out of the premises, to speak.
Findings indicate that the fire started at about 11am in the morning and was extinguished by fire fighters.
The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that no life was lost in the incident but church property, including chairs, air conditioners, were destroyed by the fire.
Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin was born in Burutu, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria on 15 February 1971. He had his primary school education at Zuokumor Primary School in Burutu L.G.A of Delta State between 1981 and 1986.
His secondary education was at Gbesa Grammar School Ojobo, between 1986 and 1992.
He is married to Anthonia Fufeyin and they have five children. He was born in a polygamous home and is the 22 child out of the 36 children sired by his father, late Livingson Stevenson Toboukeyei Fufeyin and Asetu.
Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin started his ministry career as a prayer warrior and deliverance minister with Mountain of fire and Miracle Ministries until God called him.
