Boards Dissolution Directive: FG Exempts Two Agencies

The Federal Government of Nigeria has given clarification on the recent dissolution of Boards of Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions and Government-owned Companies, excluding two Agencies.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director, Information, at the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had ordered the dissolution of the affected federal Boards with effect from Friday, June 16, 2023.

The one paragraph statement noted that “Further to the directive on the dissolution of Boards of Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions and Government-owned Companies, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has clarified that the Boards of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC) are exempted from such dissolution.”

No explanation was given for the exemption of the two Agencies.
